• Q: What does the EARLYThree app do?

  A: EARLYThree is a screening app that helps parents and pediatricians determine whether an infant is at risk for autism or other developmental delays. EARLYThree allows you to answer a series of questions about your child’s development at ages 8 months, 12 months, 15 months, 18 months, and 24 to 36 months to let you know whether your child’s cognitive development is age-appropriate.

• Q: How many children can I add to my EARLYThree account?

  A: If you are a parent, you can add up to 5 children for 3 years and if you are a pediatrician, you can add as many patients as you want for lifetime.

• Q: How do I edit my child’s name/picture/birthday?

  A: On the Child menu, tap the portrait in the middle of the screen to update your child’s profile information.

• Q: When can I access future screening intervals?

  A: You will not be able to access the questions for each screening interval until your child reaches that age. Your child’s age is based on the birthday in their profile.

• Q: How many times can I repeat a screening?

  A: You may repeat a screening interval as many times as you want until your child reaches the next screening age.

• Q: Can I access older screening intervals?

  A: Yes, you can access screening intervals that are within your child’s age. For example, if your child is 14 months old, you can access 8 months as well as 12 months screening.

• Q: Can I use EARLYThree to self-diagnose my child for autism?

  A: The diagnosis of any cognitive disorder should only be done by a trained specialist. Please share your results from EARLYThree with your pediatrician to help obtain an accurate diagnosis.

• Q: Who developed this app?

  A: The app is developed by Rangam in collaboration with Dr. Michael Lewis of the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Autism Center.
